Kids
Kabaret Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization owned and operated by Marlene Ramirez, long-time resident
of Manhattan Beach. The concept was developed in response to a need
in the community for a venue where children ages four to eighteen
years old could perform music, dance or theater in a fun atmosphere
as well as have a gathering place for special occasions and celebrations.
This need has been further demonstrated by the tremendous participation
in talent shows across the South Bay schools.
Kids Kabaret Foundation wanted to reach out to more communities by going to schools, inner-city envirmonments, and economically impacted children and families. We send our teachers out to the sites to teach various performing arts. At the present time, we are in 38 schools, servicing more than 3000 children and are continuing to expand.

Kids Kabaret Foundation takes pride in our intense audition and screening processes. Our teachers bring a wealth of experience teaching children in their fields. In addition, all instructors bring to our program professional experience from stage, screen, and television. This helps bring a different perspective to the classroom. All these elements enable the children to have an outstanding Performing Arts education, as well as an exciting culminating event at the end of each session. |

Mrs. Ramirez's experience working with children is second to none.
Her career started as an educator and program coordinator for the
Centinela and Lennox School Districts and most recently, as a kindergarten
teacher at the Hermosa View School in Hermosa Beach. Mrs. Ramirez
then applied her years of teaching experience to a variety of children's
television programming for KYW-TV3, an NBC-TV affiliate.
Mrs. Ramirez has also been very dedicated to community service over
the years. This includes serving as PTA President, Pennekamp Elementary
School; organizing to help pass Manhattan Beach Bond Measure A; and
being a member of the Hughes Lennox UCLA School of Medicine Partnership.
As testimony to her service, Mrs. Ramirez received the Community Service
award in 1994 from the Association of California Administrators, and
the K-12 Education Partnership Award in 1994 from Hughes Corporation.
As a mother of two, Mrs. Ramirez has had hands-on experience with
raising and understanding children. You can be assured that Mrs. Ramirez
and her staff will not only care about your children but will also
help them learn and develop new skills in a positive environment.
